KIER 2020 - Fundraising Challenge

Who are KIER?

KIER are our main contractors and they have the huge responsibility of planning and building our new DREAMBUILDING in Bosham.

What is the 2020 challenge?

The 2020 challenge is a fundraising campaign by Build UK – that aims to raise over 200K for many charities this year. KIER have pledged to raise £25,000 towards this target. The added challenge is that each team are to complete a ‘green relay’ using non-motorised forms of transport, for example horse, canoe, roller blades, kayak and cycling. Each team must pass over the baton to the next team, starting from the most northern site Orkney. And ending up in Cornwall.

What happened on the day?

8 enthusiastic cyclers arrived at our current Hospice at around 2pm, where they were able to stop for some tea and cake! Our staff then gathered outside the Hospice with posters and cheerful encouragement, waving them off as they headed towards the new DREAMBUILDING site in Bosham.

How much have they raised?

So far KIER has raised over £7000 towards their £25,000 target.
