On Saturday 19th November the Bosham Community gathered to put on a Fabulous Christmas Bazaar to raise money for our new Hospice.
By 10.30am a queue had already begun forming. Once doors opened at 11am, Bosham Village Hall was soon humming with people keen to make early Christmas purchases or try their luck on the Grand Draw or bottle tombola.
Event Organiser, Liz Juniper, said: “We wanted to put on an event to demonstrate our support of St Wilfrid’s and welcome the new Hospice being built in Bosham. Over 100 local residents were involved in the organisation, from making crafts, cakes, jams and soups to helping during the lead up and on the day of the event.”
Liz went on to say: “There was a lovely atmosphere - the team work incredibly hard to make it a success and it was a great joy to see people coming together in this way and having such an enjoyable time.”
St Wilfrid’s Chief Executive, Alison Moorey, said: “It was truly heartening to hear from so many people how much they are looking forward to welcoming St Wilfrid’s to the local community.”
The first time event raised over £6,000 towards the new Hospice – a staggering amount for a local event and a fantastic demonstration of the Bosham community support.
